What is a course link?

Course links allow professors to invite their students to sign up for their own free KnowledgeLeader Student accounts.

Essentially, course links are invitation links that make it easier for students to sign up on our website.

We recommend that professors create a new course link for each course and term they are teaching.

Some important notes about course links:

  • When a student signs up for a KnowledgeLeader account using one of your course links, they will be added to a "group" for that course. The purpose of the group is for you to easily see all of the students from that course who have signed up.
  • Students who sign up via course links will have the same experience and site access as students who sign up as individuals directly on our website.
  • Each course "group" can only hold 100 students. Once a group is full, the link will take students to a page informing them that the group is full. You can see how many students are in each group in your My Account dashboard.
  • When a course "group" is full or nearly full, we recommend that you create a new course link and share that with your students.
  • Students set their account expiration dates during signup when they indicate their expected graduation date. If a student has already signed up for a Student subscription on our website, they do not need to sign up again unless their access has expired. (Students who need to extend their access should contact us at knowledgeleader@protiviti.com.)
