Occasionally, I will get asked if there are any technical requirements for using a KnowledgeLeader subscription. The good news is that KnowledgeLeader is easy to use and compatible with nearly every modern computer and browser.
Here’s the low-down:
You can use KnowledgeLeader with all of the newer versions of browsers. If you have an older version, like Internet Explorer 7, you will probably want to get an update. This isn’t just for KnowledgeLeader; you’ll have an easier time with the Internet in general.
A note about cookies: you will want to be able to accept cookies from KnowledgeLeader.com, as that is how the website keeps track of who is logged in and who isn’t. If you have cookies disabled, you will constantly have to re-log in.
For the audit programs, checklists, RCMs and other editable items, you are generally OK if you have Microsoft Office or something that can open Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Visio documents. Often the newer documents are published in more recent versions of Office in order to take advantage of new features, so if you have an older version of Office and can’t open something, let us know and we can convert it to an older version.
Our downloadable articles are generally in PDF format, so you can read them with the free version of Adobe Acrobat or similar programs. If you need it, you can download the free version of Acrobat Reader here.
If you have any questions or ever run into something you aren’t sure how to open, let us know and I’m sure we can help!
